Daily Alert
Every morning we send you a personalized email listing the previous day’s new government bid opportunities that match your industry categories and state preferences. It arrives before 8 AM Eastern on business days.
You have two ways to access it any time:
1. Via email — delivered each morning to your registered address.
2. Directly on the site at govdirections.com/emails/view
First check your spam, junk, or promotions folder. If the alert is consistently missing, your mail server may be filtering it. To whitelist us, provide your IT team or email provider the following:
Sending address: [email protected]
Sending IP: 66.135.55.67
Your alert is always available on the site regardless of email delivery: govdirections.com/emails/view
Gmail automatically sorts incoming mail into tabs: Primary, Social, and Promotions. Your alert most likely landed in the Promotions tab.
To move it permanently to Primary: open the alert, drag it to the Primary tab, then click Yes when Gmail asks if all future messages from this sender should go to Primary. You can also mark the alert with a star — starred messages always appear in Primary.
💡 You can also set up a Gmail filter to send all mail from [email protected] directly to Primary.
Log in and go to Account Settings to update your industry categories, state preferences, and contact email. Changes take effect on the next morning’s alert.
There are no restrictions on industry classifications — you can select as many as you like.
Yes — GovDirections sends daily email alerts matched to your preferences, and the site is fully mobile-friendly. Add GovDirections to your phone's home screen for one-tap access to your bids on the go.

Bids & Coverage
GovDirections monitors over 27,000 local, state, and federal government sources daily to find contract opportunities on behalf of our members. Instead of you checking dozens of procurement portals yourself, our U.S.-based research team does it for you and delivers matched results to your inbox every morning.
We have been doing this since 1998 — we are not a government agency and we work exclusively for our members.
We maintain more than 100,000 open bid listings at any given time, covering opportunities from over 48,000 agencies. We add about 5,000 new opportunities each day and average over 100,000 new listings per month.
Check your Member Home page for today’s live count.
Active Bids — open solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, RFIs) that agencies are currently accepting responses to.
Upcoming Bids — pre-solicitation opportunities identified from government budgets, agendas, and planning documents before the formal solicitation is released. Gives you a head start on the competition.
Awards — contracts that have been awarded. Useful for competitive intelligence, pricing research, and identifying agencies actively buying in your category.
Our U.S.-based research team updates the database continuously throughout the day. New opportunities are published as they are discovered — you do not have to wait until the next morning to see new bids on the site.
We monitor over 27,000 sources including:
- SAM.gov and DLA DIBBS (federal)
- All 50 state procurement portals
- County, city, school district, hospital, utility, and special authority procurement sites
- Government budget documents, meeting agendas, and planning materials
- Third-party distribution networks and subcontractor listings

Premium members can also add Set-Aside Alerts, a specialized daily alert filtered specifically to your certifications. Contact us for details.
Yes. GovDirections includes subcontractor listing opportunities — both research-identified postings and opportunities submitted directly by prime contractors seeking subs. These are included in the database alongside primary bid listings.
Some agencies post bids through third-party hosting platforms, which can cause a brief lag before the opportunity appears in our database. If you need it immediately, email us the bid title, state, and due date and we will research and add it:
Our core service covers finding and delivering bid notices — we do not complete bid documents on your behalf. However, we offer two tools that can help:
Prompt to Win (ChatRFPs) — our AI-powered bid writing assistant, built into your GovDirections account, helps you build a stronger proposal response directly from your member dashboard.
GovAdvice — upload your RFP and company documents at govadvice.com to get AI-generated proposal content and access to human expert proposal writers.
Free SBA resources are also available at sba.gov/federal-contracting.
No. GovDirections is a private research service that works exclusively for contractors and businesses. We are not affiliated with any government entity. If your agency is looking to post bids for free, visit Agora by GovDirections — our free procurement portal for government agencies.
Tools & Features
Prompt to Win (also called ChatRFPs) is GovDirections’ AI-powered bid writing assistant, available directly from your member dashboard. It helps you build stronger, more competitive proposal responses by addressing the exact evaluation criteria the agency will use to score submissions.
Access it from the ChatRFPs link in your member navigation bar.
GovAdvice (govadvice.com) is a standalone AI proposal writing tool — free to use with no login required. Upload your RFP and company documents and it generates proposal content, analyzes requirements, and identifies deadlines and evaluation criteria using Claude AI and ChatGPT.
Human expert proposal writers are also available through GovAdvice for customized RFP responses, capability statement development, and competitive bid pricing research.
GovSchool is free government contracting training hosted by GovDirections. We run live weekly classes on YouTube covering topics like how to search SAM.gov, navigate state bid portals, use GovDirections effectively, qualify bids, and write winning proposals.
All sessions are recorded and available on-demand. Access the full course catalog at govdirections.com/govschool.
The Supplier Directory is part of Agora by GovDirections — our government contractor marketplace. Premium members are listed in the directory automatically, and free members can list their company too by turning on “List my company in The Supplier Directory” in their listing, so government agencies and prime contractors can find and connect with them for teaming and subcontracting opportunities.
Update your listing from your member dashboard under My Supplier Directory Listing.
Agora by GovDirections is a free government procurement portal where public agencies can post bids, manage documents, track plan holders, and post awards — at no cost, ever. It is designed for government agencies that need a simple, modern procurement system without software fees.

Affiliate & Influencer Program
The GovDirections Affiliate Program lets you earn a commission every time someone subscribes to GovDirections through your unique referral link. There is no cost to join and no quota to meet — you earn as long as referred members stay active.
It is a good fit for accountants, consultants, attorneys, procurement coaches, chambers of commerce, trade associations, and anyone who works with businesses that sell to government.
The Influencer Program is designed for content creators, educators, coaches, and social media personalities who cover government contracting, small business, entrepreneurship, or related topics. Influencers receive a custom promo code to share with their audience and earn a commission for every new member who signs up using that code.
If you run a podcast, YouTube channel, newsletter, LinkedIn audience, or training program in the government contracting space, this program is for you.
Email us or call and let us know a little about yourself, your audience, and how you plan to promote GovDirections. We will review your application and get you set up with a referral link or promo code, along with marketing materials you can use right away.
Commission rates are discussed during onboarding and depend on your audience size, niche, and promotional approach. Contact us for current rates.
Commissions are tracked and paid on a monthly basis. You will receive a report of referred sign-ups and a payment for earned commissions. Payment method details are confirmed during onboarding.
Questions about your earnings or a specific referral? Contact us anytime:
We provide approved copy, graphics, and talking points you can use on your website, newsletter, social media, or in video content. All materials follow GovDirections brand guidelines — no custom design work is required on your end.
Influencers with larger audiences may also be eligible for co-branded content, joint webinars, or featured spots in our GovSchool training series. Ask us about partnership opportunities when you apply.
There is no minimum follower count to apply. We look at audience relevance, engagement, and alignment with the government contracting community more than raw numbers. Past partners have included:
- Government contracting coaches and consultants
- Small business development centers (SBDCs) and PTAC counselors
- Procurement attorneys and CPA firms
- Podcasters and YouTubers covering GovCon, entrepreneurship, or federal sales
- LinkedIn creators in the federal market space
- Trade associations and chambers of commerce
If your audience includes businesses that sell — or want to sell — to government, we want to talk.
